Did I Ask to Join That Group?

Maybe it’s the movie, Social Media. Perhaps it’s Mark Zuckerberg handing over some control to lesser men; perhaps it’s Mark Zuckerberg becoming drunk with power. Who knows, but I’m not really happy about the new feature that permits users to automatically add me to groups. I don’t want to have to Opt-out AFTER you put me into the group, without my permission.

I’ll find you, of my own accord. So far this week, I’ve been added to two groups, and I’ve withdrawn from both. This is bullshit. Plain and simple.

I don’t really need Facebook. I’ll use Linked In and Twitter, instead. FB is nice, but it’s not necessary.

I am not interested in the kind of random group-adds that have begun on FB, and I’m just not going to put up with it. Worse comes to worst, I’ll just shut off the account, and Facebook can go f*ck itself.

Google Buzz may yet have a future.

Have a nice day!
